what was the popular uk (london) dry cleaner chain which closed in the 1980s?
I say popular, some say expensive but they were Dry Cleaners common to most high streets. They had a range of tiered services like Regular, Silver Service, Gold Service. Gold service took the shortest time sometimes only hours and was the most expensive! Moving from Silver to Gold service would also included small maintenance eg button replacement, simple darns, etc. Sometime in the late 80’s or the 90’s the chain closed completely.
