Can anyone help me about my lovebirds,they are shedding feathers at an alarming rate!?
My lovebirds are shedding feathers in clumps and i am really worried and as they are constanly poking their body.Result is more fetahres aregetting shedded.Is this an infection? And if so is there a cure? This is my first pet and i am very worried.Please help me! I need some time before i could get hld of a vet in my area.I am in Kolkta city.You can call this no. Absolutely never ever put personal info on the the web !!! Are they full feathers with the tips in tact what I mean is the feather full from the tip to the pointy part.. not chewed off ?? if so then this is just a normal moult some birds will moult more than others and it is common.. Don’t worry as long as they are eating normally and everything else is normal I would just make sure the feathers are full is all.. Make sure to bathe or mist them more than normal right now as new feathers are very uncomfortable when they are coming in and the mist or shower helps keep thier skin soft makes the moult a bit easier for them..
